About the role

Ridgeline Software is launching a greenfield SaaS product and needs a Microservices Architect to define the core service landscape. You will shape the architecture, set standards, and guide the team through initial implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Design a modular, event‑driven microservices ecosystem aligned with business goals
• Define API contracts, data ownership, and service discovery patterns
• Establish CI/CD pipelines using Docker and Kubernetes for automated deployments
• Mentor developers on clean code, testing, and performance best practices
• Collaborate with product owners to translate requirements into scalable services

Must-have skills

• Deep experience designing and deploying microservices at scale
• Proficiency with Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration
• Strong Java development background
• Understanding of REST, gRPC, and event streaming

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Familiarity with Terraform or other IaC tools
• Knowledge of security best practices in distributed systems
