About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is launching a rapid CI/CD and platform automation sprint to accelerate release cycles. We need a Microservices Architect to design, implement, and optimize the service mesh and deployment pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design a scalable microservices architecture aligned with CI/CD goals
• Implement automated build, test, and deployment workflows using Docker and Kubernetes
• Define service contracts, versioning, and observability standards
• Collaborate with developers to refactor legacy services for cloud-native deployment
• Mentor the team on best practices for container security and performance tuning

Must-have skills

• Deep experience designing microservices with Java
• Proficiency in Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration
• Strong background in CI/CD pipeline creation (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar)
• Understanding of API gateways, service discovery, and fault tolerance patterns

Nice to have

• Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible
• Familiarity with monitoring stacks such as Prometheus/Grafana
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
