About the role

LumenWorks is preparing a major app store launch and needs a Python Backend Developer to bridge mobile front‑ends with robust server logic. You will shape the API layer that powers real‑time features and ensures seamless data flow between iOS/Android clients and our cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs using Django
• Integrate PostgreSQL schemas optimized for mobile query patterns
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to define contract specifications
• Write unit and integration tests to guarantee reliability
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot production issues

Must-have skills

• Strong Python programming experience
• Proficiency with Django and Django REST Framework
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL indexing and query tuning
• Experience building APIs consumed by mobile apps

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or container orchestration
• Knowledge of async processing (Celery, RabbitMQ)
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for rapid releases
