Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journals, ledgers, and balance sheets.
- Process financial transactions, such as invoices, payments, and deposits.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management and clients.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to prepare tax returns and other financial reports.
- Provide support to the financial planning and budgeting process.
- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and legislation.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of financial information.
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Requirements
- Diploma or certificate in bookkeeping or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or financial administration.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
