As an AWS Cloud Engineer at Nexarion, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our cloud infrastructure. You will work on designing and implementing scalable architectures, migrating applications to the cloud, and optimizing resource utilization. You will also collaborate with our development teams to ensure that applications are properly integrated with our cloud services, and that all security and compliance requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud-based systems, including architecture, deployment, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications and services with our cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and implement scalable, secure, and highly available architectures using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
• Migrate applications to the cloud, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Optimize resource utilization, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
• Implement monitoring and logging solutions using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and other AWS services.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools such as CloudFormation, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.
• Collaborate with the security team to implement and maintain security controls, such as IAM, Cognito, and Inspector.
• Develop and maintain documentation of cloud infrastructure, including architecture diagrams and technical guides.
• Participate in on-call rotations, providing 24/7 support for cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, features, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our cloud infrastructure and services.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using AWS services such as CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, ensuring business continuity in the event of an outage or disaster.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cloud computing, with a focus on AWS services and technologies.
• Strong technical background in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, including design, deployment, and management of cloud-based systems.
• Proficiency in AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
• Experience with containerization using Docker, and orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous monitoring.
• Experience with automation tools such as CloudFormation, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
• Strong understanding of security and compliance requirements, including HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification is a plus.
