About the role

CloudWave Digital is a fast‑growing cloud services provider seeking a senior Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen its Security Operations Center. You will lead incident detection, triage, and response for a high‑traffic environment, ensuring rapid containment and thorough post‑mortem analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts across cloud and on‑premise assets using SIEM tools.
• Investigate and remediate incidents, documenting findings and recommendations.
• Develop and tune detection rules, playbooks, and automated response scripts.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to harden infrastructure and improve logging.
• Conduct threat hunting exercises and produce actionable intelligence reports.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and provide after‑hours support as needed.

Must-have skills

• Deep experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
• Strong knowledge of cloud security concepts, especially AWS.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python for automation.
• Solid understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
• Hands‑on experience with incident response frameworks and threat hunting.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, or AWS Security Specialty.
• Familiarity with container security and DevSecOps pipelines.
