React Native Developer for Mobile Auth Overhaul

About the role

Summit Digital is launching a security hardening initiative for its suite of cloud‑hosted applications. As a React Native Developer you will fortify the mobile front‑end of our internal "SecureCloud Guard" module, ensuring data protection and compliance across Android and iOS platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate end‑to‑end encryption libraries (e.g., libsodium) into existing React Native codebase.
• Implement secure storage solutions using Keychain (iOS) and EncryptedSharedPreferences (Android).
• Conduct threat modeling workshops and translate findings into code‑level mitigations.
• Automate security regression tests with Detox and OWASP Mobile Security Project tools.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to enforce JWT validation and certificate pinning.
• Deliver a hardened release candidate within a 6‑week sprint, including documentation of security controls.

Must-have skills

• Strong proficiency in React Native (>=0.70) and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands‑on experience with Android and iOS native modules.
• Familiarity with mobile security best practices and encryption APIs.
• Ability to write unit and integration tests using Jest and Detox.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile app delivery.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of OWASP Mobile Top 10 and prior security audit experience.
• Exposure to cloud services (AWS, Azure) for mobile backend integration.
