About the role

NexGen Media is expanding its security operations and needs a proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to safeguard our digital assets. You will work remotely, collaborating with engineers and managers to identify threats, respond to incidents, and strengthen defenses.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and investigate potential incidents
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on Linux servers
• Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation of security tasks
• Document findings, produce reports, and recommend remediation steps
• Assist in the implementation of security policies and best practices

Must-have skills

• Strong understanding of information security principles
• Hands‑on experience with Linux environments
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation
• Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of network protocols and firewalls
• Certifications like CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
