About the role

NovaForge Tech is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a MongoDB Specialist to design, implement, and validate database security controls that protect sensitive data and meet compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing MongoDB deployments for configuration gaps and privilege misuse.
• Apply encryption at rest, TLS for in‑transit traffic, and field‑level security policies.
• Develop automated scripts to enforce role‑based access controls and audit logging.
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Document hardened architecture and provide knowledge transfer to the internal team.

Must-have skills

• Deep experience securing MongoDB clusters in cloud environments.
• Proficiency with TLS, encryption, and IAM integrations.
• Strong scripting ability (JavaScript/NodeJS) for automation.
• Understanding of compliance frameworks such as GDPR or HIPAA.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes‑based MongoDB deployments.
• Familiarity with security scanning tools like Nessus or OpenVAS.
