Senior Docker Kubernetes Specialist Needed for GitOps Rollout

About the role

Vertex Analytics is revamping the performance and reliability of its customer‑facing services. We need a Docker Kubernetes Specialist to design, implement, and fine‑tune container orchestration that scales under load while keeping latency low.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy resilient Kubernetes clusters for micro‑services
• Optimize Docker images for size, startup time, and security
• Implement automated health checks, roll‑backs, and canary releases
• Collaborate with developers to refactor services for cloud‑native patterns
• Monitor metrics and set up alerts to proactively address performance bottlenecks

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing Docker and Kubernetes in production
• Deep understanding of networking, service meshes, and resource quotas
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, or similar)
• Proficiency in Linux shell scripting and Terraform/Helm

Nice to have

• Background in observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana
• Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Knowledge of security best practices for container workloads
