About the role

BrightMart Solutions is building a high‑velocity release pipeline for its flagship e‑commerce platform. As a Python Backend Developer you will spearhead the CI/CD and platform automation sprint, focusing on the "PulseDeploy" module that orchestrates build, test, and deployment workflows for faster releases.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the PulseDeploy automation scripts using Python, Docker, and GitHub Actions.
• Integrate PostgreSQL migration checks into the CI pipeline to ensure schema consistency across environments.
• Develop REST API endpoints that trigger pipeline stages and report build status in real time.
• Configure and maintain Docker‑based staging environments for automated integration testing.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to fine‑tune Jenkins job parameters and reduce build time by 30%.
• Document the end‑to‑end deployment workflow and create runbooks for on‑call engineers.

Must-have skills

• Strong Python programming experience (3+ years).
• Proficiency with Docker containerization and image management.
• Hands‑on experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL schema migrations and performance tuning.
• Ability to design and consume RESTful APIs.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Kubernetes for scaling pipeline agents.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus or Grafana.
