Key Responsibilities

• Translate documents, articles, and other materials from one language to another, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and cultural relevance.
• Review and edit translations to ensure that they meet the highest standards of quality and consistency.
• Collaborate with other translators, editors, and project managers to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to the required standard.
• Conduct research to stay up-to-date with industry trends, language developments, and cultural nuances.
• Participate in quality control processes to ensure that translations meet the required standards.
• Utilize computer-assisted translation tools and software to streamline the translation process and improve efficiency.
• Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality translations within the required timeframe.
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide updates on progress.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of language nuances, cultural differences, and industry-specific terminology.
• Contribute to the development of translation memories, glossaries, and style guides to ensure consistency across projects.
• Participate in training and professional development programs to enhance skills and stay current with industry developments.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies when handling sensitive client information.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a translator, with a portfolio of completed projects.
• Excellent language skills, with proficiency in at least two languages.
• Strong understanding of cultural differences and nuances.
• Proficiency in computer-assisted translation tools and software.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Certification in translation, such as ATA or ITI, is an asset.
