About the role
LumenWorks is revamping the performance and reliability of its flagship customer portal. We need a Frontend React Developer to lead the UI overhaul for the new "PulseStream" module, ensuring fast load times and stable interactions for thousands of daily users.
Key responsibilities
- Audit existing React codebase and identify performance bottlenecks using Chrome DevTools and Lighthouse.
- Refactor critical components to adopt React 18 concurrent features and lazy loading.
- Implement TypeScript strict mode across the PulseStream UI for safer code.
- Integrate Webpack 5 optimizations, including code splitting and asset caching.
- Write end‑to‑end tests with Cypress to verify reliability under peak traffic.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to fine‑tune API response handling and error boundaries.
Must-have skills
- 5+ years of React development experience.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Deep understanding of performance profiling and optimization techniques.
- Experience with modern build tools (Webpack, Vite) and CI pipelines.
- Ability to produce clean, maintainable code and documentation.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Next.js server‑side rendering.
- Exposure to performance monitoring tools like New Relic or Datadog.
