Backend Developer for Auth Service Build

About the role

DataPro Services is building a high‑throughput data ingestion platform called "StreamForge". We need a Backend Developer to drive a focused CI/CD and platform automation sprint that will cut release cycle time by half. You will work hands‑on with our DevOps engineers to embed automated testing, container orchestration, and deployment pipelines into the StreamForge micro‑services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement GitLab CI pipelines for NodeJS services, including lint, unit, integration, and performance stages.
• Containerize existing services with Docker and configure Helm charts for Kubernetes rollout.
• Automate database migration workflows using Flyway and integrate them into the release pipeline.
• Set up monitoring alerts in Prometheus/Grafana for pipeline failures and deployment health.
• Collaborate with QA to embed contract testing (Pact) into the CI flow.
• Document the end‑to‑end release process and hand over to the operations team.

Must-have skills

• Strong NodeJS development experience (ES6+).
• Proficiency with GitLab CI/CD or similar pipeline tools.
• Hands‑on Docker and Kubernetes knowledge.
• Experience with PostgreSQL schema migrations and performance tuning.
• Understanding of REST API design and testing.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Exposure to automated security scanning tools (e.g., Snyk).
