Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain high-quality WordPress websites and applications, ensuring they are fast, secure, and user-friendly.
• Collaborate with designers to implement responsive and visually appealing designs, adhering to the latest web standards and accessibility guidelines.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, following best practices and coding standards.
• Utilize PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to develop custom themes, plugins, and functionality for WordPress projects.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure the quality and maintainability of the codebase.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions to problems.
• Contribute to the improvement of our development processes and standards, suggesting new tools, technologies, and methodologies that could benefit our projects.
• Manage and optimize the performance of WordPress databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Implement SEO best practices to improve the search engine ranking of our clients' websites.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends, updates, and security patches, applying this knowledge to continuously improve our services and protect our clients' assets.
• Document technical specifications and create user manuals for clients and internal team members.
• Participate in agile project management methodologies, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Monitor project timelines and budgets, ensuring deliverables are met within the agreed-upon constraints.

Requirements

• Proficiency in WordPress development, including theme and plugin development, and customization.
• Strong knowledge of PHP, including object-oriented programming and PHP frameworks.
• Experience with JavaScript, including jQuery and modern JavaScript libraries and frameworks.
• Familiarity with front-end development tools such as HTML, CSS, Sass, and CSS preprocessors.
• Understanding of responsive design principles and accessibility guidelines.
• Experience with WordPress page builders and other third-party plugins.
• Knowledge of database management systems, including MySQL.
• Experience with version control systems, especially Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
