Senior DevOps Engineer for Infrastructure Automation

About the role

NexGen Media is scaling its streaming platform and needs a senior DevOps Engineer to design and implement a resilient CI/CD pipeline for micro‑services. You will work closely with development and operations teams to automate infrastructure and ensure high availability during a critical migration phase.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate them on Kubernetes.
• Implement infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform for AWS resources.
• Monitor system performance and set up alerting with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Collaborate on security hardening, secret management, and compliance checks.
• Provide knowledge transfer and documentation for the engineering team.

Must-have skills

• Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, EKS, S3, IAM).
• Deep knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• Proficiency in Terraform or CloudFormation for IaC.
• Strong background in CI/CD pipeline design and automation.
• Solid scripting skills (Bash, Python) for tooling.

Nice to have

• Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
• Familiarity with Helm chart management.
