Key Responsibilities

• Edit video content for a range of projects, including social media, promotional videos, and educational content
• Collaborate with producers, cinematographers, and other editors to develop and refine edit concepts
• Work closely with the production team to ensure that all edits meet the required standards and deadlines
• Conduct thorough reviews of all edits to ensure that they are technically sound and of high quality
• Provide detailed feedback to the production team on the quality of the edits and suggest improvements
• Develop and implement effective editing workflows and processes to ensure efficient and high-quality output
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest editing software, technologies, and trends
• Assist in the development of style guides and brand guidelines for video content
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop new and innovative ideas for video content
• Collaborate with the design team to create motion graphics, animation, and other visual elements for video content
• Ensure that all edits are optimized for various platforms, including social media, web, and broadcast
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in video editing and production
• Assist in the preparation of video content for distribution, including formatting, compression, and uploading
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company's brand, values, and messaging

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in video editing, preferably in a fast-paced media production environment
• Proficiency in editing software, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro
• Strong understanding of storytelling principles and techniques
• Excellent technical skills, including knowledge of video and audio formats, codecs, and compression
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
• Collaborative and flexible, with excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work well under tight deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box
• Excellent knowledge of motion graphics, animation, and visual effects
• Strong understanding of color correction and grading principles
• Experience with project management tools, such as Asana or Trello, is an asset
