About the role

BlueSky Ventures is building a robust data pipeline to empower operations teams with real‑time analytics. We need a GraphQL API Developer to design and implement the core API layer that aggregates data from multiple sources and serves it to downstream dashboards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop a GraphQL schema that models operational metrics.
• Integrate existing REST endpoints and data warehouses into the GraphQL layer.
• Implement performance optimizations, caching, and pagination for large data sets.
• Collaborate with data engineers and frontend developers to ensure seamless data flow.
• Write unit and integration tests to guarantee API reliability.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience building GraphQL APIs in production.
• Proficiency with React for query consumption.
• NodeJS expertise for server‑side implementation.
• Understanding of REST API patterns and integration.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with data pipeline tools such as Apache Kafka or Airflow.
• Experience with analytics platforms like Looker or Tableau.
