We're scaling our YouTube channel focused on tech reviews and tutorials, and need a talented Video Editor who can transform raw footage into engaging, high-retention videos. You'll be responsible for editing 8-12 videos per month that keep viewers hooked and drive channel growth.
Responsibilities:
Edit 8-12 YouTube videos per month (10-15 minutes each)
Add dynamic intro/outro sequences and branded elements
Create engaging thumbnails for each video
Incorporate motion graphics, text overlays, and transitions
Add background music, sound effects, and audio enhancement
Color grade footage for professional look
Optimize videos for YouTube algorithm (pacing, hooks, retention)
Create short clips for YouTube Shorts/Instagram Reels
Collaborate on content strategy and editing style
Meet weekly deadlines consistently
Provide 1-2 rounds of revisions per video
Required Skills:
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
Experience with After Effects for motion graphics
Strong understanding of YouTube best practices
Ability to create eye-catching thumbnails (Photoshop/Canva)
Knowledge of pacing and storytelling for online video
Audio editing and mixing skills
Color grading expertise
Fast turnaround without compromising quality
Excellent time management and communication
Nice to Have:
Experience with DaVinci Resolve for advanced color grading
Knowledge of YouTube SEO and analytics
Animation skills (2D/3D)
Experience with tech/tutorial content
Understanding of copyright and royalty-free music sourcing
Familiarity with Premiere Pro plugins (FilmImpact, Universe, etc.)
Previous experience growing YouTube channels
