About the role

Orbit Labs is building a next‑generation travel companion app. We need a React Native Developer to lead a test‑automation uplift that will dramatically cut regression risk before the upcoming public launch. You will work on the "Voyager Suite" module, creating robust automated UI tests and integrating them into our CI pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end test scripts using Detox and Appium for both Android and iOS builds.
• Integrate automated test suites into GitHub Actions, ensuring nightly builds trigger full regression runs.
• Collaborate with QA engineers to define flaky‑test mitigation strategies and maintain test reliability thresholds.
• Refactor existing manual test cases into reusable component‑level tests within the Voyager Suite.
• Document test architecture, reporting dashboards, and hand‑off procedures for the release team.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with React Native (2+ years) and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proficiency in mobile test automation tools such as Detox, Appium, or Espresso/XCUITest.
• Hands‑on knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions or CircleCI.
• Understanding of Android and iOS platform nuances, including device farms.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with performance testing tools like Firebase Test Lab.
• Experience writing custom Jest unit tests for React Native components.
