Lead IoT Solutions Architect Needed for IoT Platform Build

About the role

NexGen Media is expanding its smart device ecosystem and needs an IoT Solutions Architect to design, implement, and optimize end‑to‑end connectivity solutions. You will lead the integration of sensors, edge gateways, and cloud services to deliver reliable, scalable IoT platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and document IoT system designs, including device provisioning, data pipelines, and security frameworks.
• Configure and manage edge devices, gateways, and network infrastructure for seamless data flow.
• Develop and maintain integration scripts and APIs to connect devices with cloud services.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning for large‑scale deployments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance with security and privacy standards.

Must-have skills

• Deep expertise in IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP) and device management.
• Strong Linux system administration and networking knowledge.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript for automation and API development.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and integrating cloud platforms.
• Solid understanding of security best practices for IoT environments.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with edge AI or machine learning inference on devices.
