About the role

BlueSky Ventures is launching an integration project that links billing, CRM, and internal APIs. We need a Database Administrator to design, tune, and maintain the data layer that will support seamless data flow across these systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement schemas for billing, CRM, and API data stores.
• Optimize queries and indexes for high‑volume transactional workloads.
• Develop ETL pipelines to synchronize data between PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL.
• Monitor performance, set up alerts, and resolve bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure data integrity and security.

Must-have skills

• 3+ years managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL environments.
• Strong SQL performance tuning and indexing expertise.
• Experience building data pipelines and integrations.
• Familiarity with backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery strategies.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure Cosmos DB).
• Exposure to CI/CD for database changes.
• Understanding of data security best practices.
