About the role

CoreData Systems is seeking a Database Administrator to support a critical data migration project. You will ensure database performance, reliability, and security while working with a distributed team of engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL instances
• Implement backup, recovery, and replication strategies
• Design and enforce data security and access controls
• Collaborate with developers to optimize queries and schema designs
• Document procedures and maintain run‑books

Must-have skills

• 3+ years managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL in production
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning and indexing
• Experience with backup, recovery, and high‑availability setups
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments

Nice to have

• Automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform
• Experience with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure Cosmos DB)
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker)
