About the role

NovaForge Tech is building a next‑gen analytics backbone for its operations teams. As an Android Developer you will extend the internal "PulseStream" module, enabling real‑time data pipeline visualization on mobile devices. The work focuses on delivering actionable insights directly to field engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a Kotlin‑based UI for the PulseStream dashboard using Jetpack Compose.
• Integrate the app with existing Kafka streams via gRPC and REST endpoints.
• Optimize data sync performance to handle >10,000 events per minute on low‑end Android hardware.
• Create automated UI tests with Espresso and set up CI pipelines in GitHub Actions.
• Collaborate with data engineers to define protobuf schemas and ensure end‑to‑end data integrity.
• Deliver a beta release within 6 weeks and iterate based on ops‑team feedback.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience in Android development with Kotlin and Java.
• Proficiency in REST API consumption and gRPC integration.
• Hands‑on with Jetpack libraries, Compose, and Room.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, especially GitHub Actions.
• Understanding of data streaming concepts and performance profiling.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka or similar streaming platforms.
• Knowledge of analytics visualization libraries.
