Senior MongoDB Specialist Needed for Scalable Replica Lag Fixes

About the role

TechFlow Inc is launching a greenfield SaaS product and needs a MongoDB Specialist to design the data layer from scratch. You will shape schema, indexing, and sharding strategies for a high‑throughput, globally distributed service.

Key responsibilities

• Define data models and relationships aligned with product features
• Implement robust indexing, aggregation pipelines, and performance tuning
• Set up automated backups, monitoring, and alerting for production clusters
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate MongoDB drivers and ensure data integrity
• Document best practices and conduct knowledge‑sharing sessions for the remote‑first team

Must-have skills

• Deep experience with MongoDB design, scaling, and security
• Proficiency in JavaScript/NodeJS ecosystems
• Strong understanding of data modeling for SaaS applications
• Ability to write clear, concise technical documentation

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes deployments
• Experience with Atlas or other managed MongoDB services
