About the role

Vertex Analytics is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a Docker Kubernetes Specialist to design, implement, and validate hardened container orchestration environments that meet compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing Kubernetes clusters and identify security gaps.
• Implement network policies, pod security standards, and RBAC best practices.
• Containerize legacy services with minimal footprint and enforce image signing.
• Integrate secret management tools and automate compliance scans.
• Document hardening procedures and provide knowledge transfer to the internal team.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• Deep understanding of CIS Benchmarks, pod security policies, and role‑based access control.
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Helm) for secure deployments.
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) for automation.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with service mesh security (Istio, Linkerd).
• Knowledge of cloud provider security services (AWS GuardDuty, GCP Security Command Center).
• Certifications such as CKA or CKAD.
