About the role
We are launching a security hardening initiative for our cloud‑hosted applications. As a Python Backend Developer you will strengthen authentication, data encryption, and vulnerability monitoring while ensuring seamless API performance.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement security‑focused middleware in Django
- Audit existing REST endpoints for injection and exposure risks
- Integrate PostgreSQL encryption extensions and role‑based access controls
- Collaborate with DevOps to embed security checks into CI pipelines
- Write unit and integration tests that validate hardening measures
Must-have skills
- Strong Python programming with Django framework
- Deep understanding of REST API security best practices
- Experience securing PostgreSQL databases
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Nice to have
- Knowledge of OAuth2 / OpenID Connect flows
- Experience with security scanning tools (Bandit, OWASP ZAP)
- Understanding of container security (Docker, Kubernetes)
