About the role

We are launching a security hardening initiative for our cloud‑hosted applications. As a Python Backend Developer you will strengthen authentication, data encryption, and vulnerability monitoring while ensuring seamless API performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement security‑focused middleware in Django
• Audit existing REST endpoints for injection and exposure risks
• Integrate PostgreSQL encryption extensions and role‑based access controls
• Collaborate with DevOps to embed security checks into CI pipelines
• Write unit and integration tests that validate hardening measures

Must-have skills

• Strong Python programming with Django framework
• Deep understanding of REST API security best practices
• Experience securing PostgreSQL databases
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

Nice to have

• Knowledge of OAuth2 / OpenID Connect flows
• Experience with security scanning tools (Bandit, OWASP ZAP)
• Understanding of container security (Docker, Kubernetes)
