About the role

Northbay Systems is launching a sprint to automate CI/CD pipelines and streamline platform releases for Android apps. We need an Android Developer who can embed automation scripts, improve build speed, and ensure reliable delivery across devices.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain Gradle pipelines for fast, repeatable builds
• Integrate automated testing and code quality checks into CI workflows
• Collaborate with DevOps to containerize build environments
• Monitor release metrics and troubleshoot pipeline failures
• Document automation processes for the wider team

Must-have skills

• Strong Kotlin and Java expertise for Android
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI)
• Proficiency in Android Studio, Gradle, and version control
• Ability to write shell or Groovy scripts for automation

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes for build isolation
• Experience with Fastlane or similar mobile release automation
• Knowledge of unit, UI, and instrumentation testing frameworks
