Senior Hydrogen (Shopify Headless) Developer & Store Architect

We build and scale 15–25 high-ticket headless Shopify stores per year (fashion, beauty, wellness, gadgets – $1M–$20M+/year revenue). All frontends are Hydrogen + Oxygen, Remix, Tailwind, with custom checkout, animations, and performance under 1s LCP.

We are looking for a true Shopify Hydrogen expert who can own 4–8 stores: full Hydrogen app from scratch, custom components, server-side rendering, Oxygen deployment, advanced animations, and conversion-focused architecture.

You will be the headless technical lead for brands moving from classic Shopify themes.

Responsibilities

Full Hydrogen + Remix store builds (custom theme from scratch)

Oxygen deployment + edge caching

Advanced animations (Framer Motion, GSAP, Lottie)

Custom checkout, cart, PDP, collection pages

Hydrogen Cache + Storefront API mastery

Headless CMS integration (Sanity, Contentful, Prismic)

Performance optimization (Core Web Vitals 95+)

App blocks, metaobjects, Hydrogen sections

Migration from classic themes to headless

Monthly reporting + strategy calls with brands

Required Skills

Hydrogen + Oxygen expert (2+ years, 10+ live stores)

Remix.run + React Server Components

Tailwind + advanced CSS/animations

Storefront API + Hydrogen Cache

Shopify Plus & Checkout Extensibility

Nice to Have

Located in Philippines, Pakistan, India, LATAM, or Eastern Europe (4–6 hrs overlap with US time zones)

Experience with fashion/beauty/gadget brands

Previously scaled a headless store to $5M+/year

Familiar with Vercel, Cloudflare Workers, or custom edge

Weekly Commitment

25–35 hours per week (flexible, launch-driven)

Payment Structure

Standard – $2,800/month (25 hrs/week, 4 stores)

Senior – $3,800/month (30 hrs/week, 6–8 stores + custom checkout)

Lead – $4,800/month (35 hrs/week, full architecture + animations + strategy)

Paid on the 1st and 15th via Wise or PayPal.
