Senior Terraform Engineer – Platform Reliability

About the role

NexGen Media is launching a data pipeline and analytics enablement effort for its operations teams. We need a Terraform Engineer to design, provision, and maintain the infrastructure that will power real‑time data ingestion, transformation, and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement Terraform modules for multi‑account AWS environments
• Automate provisioning of data lake storage, Kinesis streams, and Redshift clusters
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines to enforce IaC best practices and automated testing
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure infrastructure meets latency and scalability targets
• Document architecture decisions and create runbooks for operational hand‑off

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of Terraform experience in production AWS environments
• Deep knowledge of AWS services related to data pipelines (S3, Kinesis, Glue, Redshift)
• Proven CI/CD implementation using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and cost‑optimization in cloud

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake or BigQuery
• Familiarity with Python or Go for custom providers
• Background in analytics or data engineering workflows
