About the role

Pinecrest Systems is revamping the performance and reliability of its customer‑facing services. We need a Python Backend Developer to redesign core APIs, optimize database interactions, and ensure high‑throughput, low‑latency operations.

Key responsibilities

• Refactor existing Django services for speed and scalability
• Implement robust REST API endpoints with thorough testing
• Profile and tune PostgreSQL queries and indexes
• Introduce caching layers and async processing where appropriate
• Collaborate with front‑end and DevOps teams to monitor live performance

Must-have skills

• 5+ years Python development, deep Django expertise
• Design and build high‑performance REST APIs
• Advanced PostgreSQL query optimization
• Experience with performance profiling tools

Nice to have

• Knowledge of containerization (Docker)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of cloud‑native monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana)
