Senior PostgreSQL Administrator for High Availability Setup

About the role

DataPro Services is extending a core B2B product with a new multi‑tenant capability. We need a PostgreSQL Administrator to design, tune, and secure the database layer that will power this feature across dozens of tenants.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement schema changes for multi‑tenant isolation
• Optimize queries and indexes for high‑concurrency workloads
• Set up automated backups, point‑in‑time recovery, and monitoring alerts
• Collaborate with developers to integrate PostgreSQL with application code and CI pipelines
• Conduct performance testing and capacity planning for future growth

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production environments
• Strong knowledge of replication, sharding, and partitioning strategies
• Experience with Linux system administration and scripting
• Proficiency in SQL performance tuning and query analysis

Nice to have

• Familiarity with MongoDB or MySQL for hybrid data stores
• Exposure to container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Understanding of security best practices for multi‑tenant SaaS
