About the role

Summit Digital is preparing a new app store launch and needs a PHP Developer to ensure the mobile front‑end and backend services work seamlessly together. You will join a small, agile team focused on delivering a stable, high‑performance API layer that powers the upcoming mobile experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful endpoints in Laravel that serve mobile clients.
• Optimize MySQL queries for low latency and high concurrency.
• Collaborate with iOS/Android engineers to define data contracts and error handling.
• Write unit and integration tests to guarantee reliability across releases.
• Document API specifications and deployment procedures.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with PHP and Laravel framework.
• Proficient in MySQL schema design and performance tuning.
• Understanding of mobile app data patterns and API versioning.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or containerized deployments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for PHP projects.
• Basic knowledge of front‑end mobile frameworks.
