Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated data reports, dashboards, and visualizations using various BI tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct in-depth statistical analysis on large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that drive business questions.
- Clean, transform, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency for analysis.
- Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
- Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques, providing ongoing reports.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across different departments to understand their data needs and translate business questions into analytical frameworks.
- Present findings and recommendations to non-technical audiences in a clear, concise, and compelling manner, using visual aids and storytelling techniques.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret complex data sets using statistical software and data visualization tools.
- Support the development of A/B tests and other experimental designs, analyzing results to inform strategic decisions.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and data queries to support urgent business needs and special projects.
- Document data processes, definitions, and methodologies to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, new technologies, and evolving data analysis techniques.
Requirements
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, preferably in a freelance capacity or project-based environment.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis from relational databases.
- Expertise with at least one major data visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis concepts and experience with statistical programming languages (e.g., Python with Pandas/NumPy, R).
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Information Management, or a related quantitative field.
