About the role

Cascade Apps is revamping a legacy production platform that must stay live while new features roll out. We need an Android Developer to lead the migration of core modules to modern architectures, ensuring zero‑downtime deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Refactor legacy codebases to Kotlin with clean MVVM patterns
• Implement feature flags and canary releases for seamless updates
• Integrate CI pipelines for automated testing and deployment
• Collaborate with backend engineers to align API contracts
• Monitor performance and resolve runtime issues in production

Must-have skills

• Strong Kotlin and Java expertise for Android
• Experience modernizing legacy Android apps
• Familiarity with zero‑downtime deployment strategies
• Proficiency with Jetpack components and Coroutines

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Gradle Kotlin DSL
• Experience with Firebase Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring
