As we enter our next growth phase, we're seeking a strategic Social Media Marketing Manager to amplify our brand voice and drive meaningful engagement.


Position Overview


We're looking for a creative and data-driven Social Media Marketing Manager to lead our social media strategy across all major platforms. This is a 6-8 month contract position (30-35 hours per week) with strong potential for extension based on performance. You'll work closely with our marketing director, creative team, and customer success team to create compelling content that resonates with our eco-conscious audience and drives measurable business results.


Key Responsibilities


Content Strategy & Creation - 35%

• Develop and execute comprehensive social media content calendars across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and LinkedIn

• Create, curate, and schedule 4-6 posts per day across all platforms

• Design engaging graphics, write compelling copy, and produce short-form video content

• Ensure brand consistency and alignment with overall marketing campaigns

• Stay ahead of social media trends and platform algorithm changes


Community Management & Engagement - 25%

• Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions across all platforms within 2-4 hours

• Build and nurture relationships with followers, brand advocates, and micro-influencers

• Identify and engage with user-generated content opportunities

• Manage community sentiment and escalate issues to appropriate teams

• Foster authentic conversations that strengthen brand loyalty


Analytics & Performance Optimization - 20%

• Track, analyze, and report on key social media metrics (engagement rate, reach, conversions, ROI)

• Conduct A/B testing on content formats, posting times, and messaging

• Generate monthly performance reports with actionable insights and recommendations

• Monitor competitor social media activities and industry benchmarks

• Use data to continuously refine and improve social media strategies


Campaign Planning & Execution - 15%

• Collaborate with marketing team to plan and execute product launches and seasonal campaigns

• Coordinate influencer partnerships and user-generated content campaigns

• Develop paid social media advertising strategies and manage ad spend budgets

• Create and optimize landing pages for social media traffic

• Support email marketing team with social-first content approaches


Cross-functional Collaboration - 5%

• Participate in weekly marketing team meetings and strategy sessions

• Coordinate with e-commerce team on promotional activities and product highlights

• Work with customer service team to address customer inquiries via social channels

• Provide social media guidance to other team members and departments


Must-Have Requirements


• 5-7 years of proven experience in social media marketing, preferably for consumer brands or e-commerce companies

• Demonstrated success growing and engaging social media audiences (provide specific growth metrics in your application)

• Expert knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and LinkedIn best practices

• Strong graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools

• Excellent copywriting abilities with understanding of brand voice development

• Experience with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, or Later)

• Proficiency in social media analytics platforms (Facebook Insights, Instagram Analytics, TikTok Analytics)

• Understanding of paid social advertising (Facebook Ads Manager, TikTok Ads)

• Strong project management and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision

• Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset

• Portfolio showcasing successful social media campaigns and content creation


Nice-to-Have Skills


• Experience in sustainability, fashion, or lifestyle brand sectors

• Video editing skills using CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or Final Cut Pro

• Photography skills and equipment for product photography

• Knowledge of SEO principles and content marketing

• Experience with influencer marketing platforms and relationship management

• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce)

• Understanding of emerging platforms (Threads, BeReal, etc.)

• Experience managing social media teams or contractors

• Background in community management or customer service


Project Details


This is a remote contract position requiring 30-35 hours per week over 6-8 months. You'll report directly to our Marketing Director and work closely with our creative and customer success teams. The role offers flexible scheduling with core collaboration hours between 10 AM - 2 PM Central Time for team meetings and coordination. You'll have access to our brand assets, content management tools, and creative resources.
