About the role

BrightMart Solutions is launching a data pipeline to empower operations teams with real‑time analytics. We need a PostgreSQL Administrator to design, tune, and maintain the core database layer that feeds our analytics platform.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable PostgreSQL clusters for high‑throughput ingestion.
• Develop ETL scripts and automate data flows between PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL.
• Monitor performance, fine‑tune queries, and ensure low‑latency reporting.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to translate business needs into robust schemas.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production environments.
• Strong SQL optimization and indexing expertise.
• Hands‑on experience with MongoDB and MySQL integration.
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) for automation.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud‑native databases (AWS RDS, GCP Cloud SQL).
• Familiarity with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for database changes.
