About the role

We are revamping the performance and reliability of our customer‑facing services. The PHP Developer will lead code optimisation, refactor legacy modules, and implement robust monitoring to ensure seamless user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing PHP codebase for bottlenecks and memory leaks
• Refactor services using Laravel best practices and design patterns
• Design and implement efficient MySQL queries and indexing strategies
• Set up automated tests and CI pipelines for regression safety
• Collaborate with DevOps to instrument performance metrics

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of professional PHP development
• Deep expertise in Laravel framework
• Strong MySQL optimisation experience
• Proven track record of improving service latency and uptime

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Redis or caching layers
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like New Relic or Prometheus
