Senior Node.js Developer – Backend Scalability

About the role

Orbit Labs is launching a security hardening initiative for cloud‑hosted applications. We need a Node.js Developer who can reinforce existing services, audit configurations, and embed best‑practice defenses into the codebase.

Key responsibilities

• Review and refactor Node.js services to mitigate OWASP risks
• Implement input validation, rate limiting, and secure authentication flows
• Integrate security scanning tools into CI pipelines
• Collaborate with cloud engineers to enforce least‑privilege IAM policies
• Document hardened architecture and provide knowledge transfer

Must-have skills

• Strong NodeJS experience building REST APIs
• Proficiency with Express framework
• Deep understanding of JavaScript security patterns
• Hands‑on experience securing cloud‑native deployments

Nice to have

• Familiarity with container security (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with automated vulnerability testing tools
