About the role

Northbay Systems is preparing a major app store launch and needs a MongoDB Specialist to align mobile and backend data flows. You will shape the schema, optimize queries, and ensure seamless sync between the mobile client and server APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and refine MongoDB data models for high‑throughput mobile usage
• Implement indexing and aggregation pipelines to meet latency targets
• Collaborate with React Native engineers to define API contracts
• Write migration scripts and data validation routines
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot production issues

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with MongoDB schema design and performance tuning
• Proficiency in JavaScript/NodeJS backend development
• Understanding of mobile data synchronization patterns
• Ability to write clear documentation and test cases

Nice to have

• Familiarity with GraphQL or REST API design
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines for database migrations
• Knowledge of cloud‑hosted MongoDB services (Atlas, etc.)
