About the role

Ridgeline Software is creating a data pipeline and analytics enablement platform for operations teams. We need a REST API Developer to design, implement, and optimize services that feed real‑time data into our analytics stack.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable RESTful APIs using NodeJS and JavaScript
• Integrate APIs with PostgreSQL for high‑throughput data ingestion
• Implement authentication, rate‑limiting, and monitoring
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data quality and latency targets
• Write automated tests and maintain documentation

Must-have skills

• Proven experience building production‑grade REST APIs
• Strong NodeJS and JavaScript expertise
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL performance tuning
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Knowledge of data streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis)
• Background in analytics or BI tooling
