About the role

Summit Digital is preparing an upcoming app store launch that requires tight mobile/backend coordination. We need a Python Backend Developer to design and refine the server side that powers the mobile experience, ensuring data sync, performance, and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs that serve mobile clients
• Integrate with PostgreSQL, handling migrations and query optimization
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to align data contracts and error handling
• Write unit and integration tests to guarantee reliability
• Monitor API performance and troubleshoot production issues

Must-have skills

• Strong Python programming experience
• Proficiency with Django framework
• Deep understanding of REST API design principles
• Hands‑on work with PostgreSQL databases

Nice to have

• Familiarity with async Python (e.g., FastAPI, asyncio)
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines for backend services
• Knowledge of mobile app data patterns and offline sync
