About the role
TechFlow Inc is building a real‑time analytics layer for its operations teams. As a Java Developer you will drive the creation of a data pipeline that ingests, transforms, and surfaces metrics for daily decision‑making. The project, codenamed "PulseStream", focuses on enabling rapid insight generation across multiple business units.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement a Java‑based ETL service using Spring Boot and Apache Kafka to stream operational logs into a MySQL data lake.
- Develop RESTful endpoints that expose aggregated KPIs to internal dashboards, ensuring low latency and high throughput.
- Write unit and integration tests with JUnit and Testcontainers to guarantee pipeline reliability before each sprint.
- Configure CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions for automated build, test, and deployment to AWS ECS.
- Collaborate with data analysts to define schema evolutions and data quality checks using DBT.
- Document code standards, API contracts, and deployment procedures in Confluence.
Must-have skills
- Strong Java development experience (Java 11+), Spring Boot framework.
- Proficiency with relational databases, especially MySQL.
- Hands‑on knowledge of REST API design and implementation.
- Familiarity with Kafka or similar streaming platforms.
- Experience writing automated tests with JUnit and CI pipelines.
Nice to have
- Exposure to AWS services (ECS, RDS) and containerization (Docker).
