Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and efficient server-side code using Python, Django, and other relevant technologies
• Design and implement database schema, indexing, and querying to support application requirements
• Implement API connectivity and data exchange between systems, using protocols such as REST, GraphQL, or gRPC
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate backend APIs with client-side code
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, using tools such as pdb, Django debug toolbar, and system logs
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase, following best practices and coding standards
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including code comments, API documentation, and system architecture diagrams
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and frameworks in Python development, and apply this knowledge to improve our systems and processes
• Work closely with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and operation of our applications
• Contribute to the development of our testing framework, using tools such as Pytest, Unittest, and Behave
• Participate in agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, to manage and prioritize project requirements
• Collaborate with the QA team to identify and resolve issues, and ensure the highest quality of our products
• Develop and maintain automated testing scripts, using tools such as Selenium, Pytest, or Unittest
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security vulnerabilities and best practices, and apply this knowledge to protect our systems and data

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Python development, with a focus on backend development
• Strong proficiency in Python, Django, and relevant frameworks and libraries
• Experience with database design, development, and querying, using databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
• Familiarity with API design, development, and security, using protocols such as REST, GraphQL, or gRPC
• Strong understanding of software development principles, including SOLID, MVC, and design patterns
• Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools, such as Pytest, Unittest, or Behave
• Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions
• Familiarity with containerization, using tools such as Docker or Kubernetes
