Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and financial statements.
  • Process financial transactions, including invoicing, payments, and payroll.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including tax laws and accounting standards.
  • Prepare and review financial reports and statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to management on financial performance and trends.
  • Develop and implement financial processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure seamless financial operations and provide support as needed.
  • Manage and reconcile bank and credit card statements.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to management and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Ensure data entry accuracy and attention to detail in all financial records and reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of financial information and comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations, accounting standards, and industry trends.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, with a strong background in financial data entry, accounts payable and receivable, and financial statement preparation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks and Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the accounting team and other stakeholders.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of financial record-keeping and reporting.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of financial information.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and provide insights to management.
  • Experience with financial process improvement and implementation of financial procedures and controls.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations, including tax laws and accounting standards.
  • Certification in bookkeeping or accounting, such as Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB), is an asset.
