About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled e-commerce web developer to join our team on a freelance basis. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain our e-commerce platform, ensuring a seamless user experience for our customers
- Work closely with our cross-functional team to identify and prioritize project requirements, develop solutions, and implement new features
- Develop and implement new features, optimize and improve existing ones, and ensure that our platform is secure, scalable, and performs well
- Collaborate with our design team to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, with a focus on best practices and industry standards
- Test and debug code, identify and fix errors, and ensure that our platform meets the highest quality standards
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in e-commerce web development, and apply this knowledge to improve our platform
- Participate in code reviews, provide feedback and suggestions for improvement, and contribute to the growth and development of our team
- Ensure that our platform is compliant with relevant laws and regulations, such as GDPR and PCI-DSS
- Provide technical support and maintenance for our e-commerce platform, including troubleshooting and resolving issues
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in web development, with a focus on e-commerce platforms
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, with experience with popular e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions
- Strong understanding of web development principles, including security, scalability, and performance optimization
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git, and agile development methodologies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results
- Experience with database management systems, such as MySQL or MongoDB
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks, such as React or Angular, and back-end frameworks, such as Node.js or Ruby on Rails
