About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to embed security into a fast‑moving CI/CD pipeline for a critical micro‑services platform. You will partner with development and operations teams to automate security controls, ensure compliance, and reduce risk throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement secure CI/CD workflows using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
• Integrate automated security testing (SAST, DAST, container scanning) into pipelines.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code scripts for AWS environments with security best practices.
• Monitor and remediate vulnerabilities in Docker images and serverless functions.
• Collaborate with developers to embed security standards into code reviews and pull requests.
• Document security policies, incident response procedures, and compliance reports.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps with a strong security focus.
• Deep experience with AWS services, IAM, and networking security.
• Proficiency in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and image hardening.
• Hands‑on knowledge of CI/CD tools and automated security testing frameworks.
• Solid scripting abilities in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.

Nice to have

• Experience with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2.
• Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation for secure IaC.
