About the role

NexGen Media is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay live 24/7. We need a REST API Developer to design and refactor services that enable zero‑downtime deployments while improving performance and observability.

Key responsibilities

• Rewrite legacy endpoints into clean NodeJS REST APIs
• Implement versioned API contracts and automated migration scripts
• Integrate PostgreSQL data access layers with async patterns
• Set up health checks, logging, and metrics for zero‑downtime releases
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps to validate blue‑green rollout strategies

Must-have skills

• Strong experience building REST APIs with NodeJS
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+)
• Hands‑on PostgreSQL schema design and query optimization
• Understanding of zero‑downtime deployment techniques

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or container orchestration
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines for microservices
