Cybersecurity Analyst – Threat Mitigation

About the role

Pinnacle Works is strengthening its security posture for a critical client project. We need a proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to assess risks, monitor alerts, and support incident response in a fast‑paced remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on cloud and on‑premise assets
• Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) alerts, investigate anomalies
• Develop and tune detection rules, playbooks, and response procedures
• Collaborate with engineering teams to remediate findings and improve configurations
• Document findings, produce concise reports, and present recommendations

Must-have skills

• Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, and IDS/IPS
• Hands‑on experience with Python scripting for automation and analysis
• Proficiency in Linux system administration and security hardening
• Familiarity with SIEM tools and incident response workflows

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIST
• Certifications like CISSP, CEH, or OSCP
