We need a skilled Video Editor who can transform our raw footage into polished, engaging educational content that keeps viewers watching and learning. You'll edit 8 videos per month (12-18 minutes each), adding motion graphics, text overlays, stock footage, and smooth transitions that enhance the educational experience.

Your editing style should balance professionalism with personality—think channels like Kurzgesagt or Veritasium where information is presented clearly but with visual flair. You'll remove mistakes and filler words, add animated diagrams to explain concepts, insert relevant b-roll and stock footage, create engaging chapter markers, and ensure perfect audio quality. We provide all raw footage, scripts, and reference materials, but we value editors who can suggest creative ways to visualize complex ideas.

This is an ongoing monthly contract perfect for an editor passionate about education and science. We're looking for reliability, creativity, and someone who can maintain our channel's visual style while bringing fresh ideas. The workload is consistent (2 videos per week), and we pay on time every month. If your portfolio includes educational or documentary-style content, we'd love to see how you make learning visually exciting.

Key Responsibilities

Edit 8 YouTube videos per month (12-18 minutes each)

Remove filler words, mistakes, and dead air for smooth pacing

Add motion graphics and animated text to explain key concepts

Insert relevant b-roll, stock footage, and screen recordings

Create custom lower thirds, title cards, and chapter markers

Add background music, sound effects, and ensure audio leveling

Color grade footage for consistent, professional look

Add closed captions/subtitles for accessibility

Create engaging thumbnails for each video (Photoshop)

Export in YouTube-optimized format (1080p, proper codec)
